These 8 will cause 300,000,000 great financial pain during the worst Recession since the Great Depression. A link has been added to their web sites, so you can write them and leave four words:
2454: "SHAME ON YOU"
You may have to call, because for some of them, unless you are in their district, they do not take emails from you. These RINO'S will be added to the list with Spectre, Snowe, and Collins of Republicans that must be defeated, and I pledge my support to defeating them. If you are with me, please comment on this link. The bill passed 219-212. If these Republicans would have stood firm, then it would not have passed. I also give credit to the 44 Democrats that voted no on this bill.
Also as a reminder: The two Republicans who didn’t vote: Jeff Flake (AZ) and John Sullivan (OK). the full roll call vote is here.
The Congressional Budget Office estimated the bill would cost the average household in America around $175 a year, the EPA $80 to $110 a year. Well, we know how Government estimations equal out to how things actually become. Republicans on the other hand questioned the validity of the CBO study and noted that analysis showed actual energy production costs increasing by $770 per household. Industry groups outside the Government sphere of influence have cited other studies showing much higher costs to the economy and to individuals.
Video:
Boehner: America Has the Right to Know the Consequences of Speaker Pelosi's Nat'l Energy Tax
Here are some facts:
1). Reduce aggregate gross domestic product (GDP) by $9.6 trillion
2). Destroy an average of 1-3 million jobs, every year
3). Raise electricity rates 90 percent after adjusting for inflation
4). Raise inflation-adjusted gasoline prices by 74 percent
5). Raise residential natural gas prices by 55 percent
6). Raise an average family's annual energy bill by $1,500 annually
7). Increase the federal debt by 26 percent, which is $29,150 per person
Here is a list of the 44 Democrats that voted no on this bill. Yet I can bet that most of them are having trouble with possible reelections in their hometowns, so I will make a bet that Raum Emanuel visited them, and said, "We have the votes, vote no so you can go home and tell your people you were against Cap and Trade." But, here they are:

Alabama Ten Commandments judge running for governor
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama judge known for refusing to move a granite monument of the Ten Commandments from the lobby of the state's judicial building is again running for governor, with his message Monday going beyond his longstanding call for the government to acknowledge God.
Ousted Chief Justice Roy Moore's kickoff speech focused on economics, social issues and criticism of the federal government.
"While an ever-increasing national government deficit devalues our dollar and plunges us into a recession, federal power intrudes into private business, undermining our free enterprise system upon which we've always been based," said Moore, who is running as a Republican.
Moore became known as Alabama's Ten Commandments judge when he was presided over circuit court in Gadsden in 1997-1998 and waged a legal battle to display a homemade plaque of the religious laws in his courtroom.
The attention over his plaque helped him win the race for chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2000. As head of the state judicial system, he placed a granite monument of the Ten Commandments in the lobby of the state judicial building. A federal judge ordered him to remove it, but he refused, claiming a right to acknowledge God.
That decision caused the Alabama Court of the Judiciary to kick Moore out of office in 2003.
Religion was an important part of the 62-year-old's message during his announcement.
"Out of Washington comes a dangerous new message that we are not a Christian nation. Indeed, I refute that," Moore said as about 150 supporters cheered.
Moore ran for governor in 2006, but lost the Republican primary by a 2-to-1 margin to incumbent Bob Riley. Riley can't run again in 2010, and a large field is lining up for the GOP primary in June 2010.

The Fight Goes On

Last Thursday, following weeks of speculation, former PA Governor, Tom Ridge, decided against running in next year's Senate primary. In a statement, Pat reinforced the former governor's message to stand by the principles of limited government, less taxes, competent governance and shared responsibility.
These are the principles that Pat relays everyday as he travels the Commonwealth and connects with its residents. For a look at Pat on the road, check out the Monroe County coverage from last week, as well as his chat with Jon Delano at KDKA in Pittsburgh, and his interview with WITF public radio in Harrisburg. Pat is confident that delivering the messages behind these shared principles will not only unite the Republican Party, but more importantly, unite the majority of our fellow citizens - regardless of their party affiliation.
As Pat grinds it out on the road and connects with voters, his newly minted Democratic opponent, Arlen Specter, continues his charade as a Democrat and cozies up with the Party's brethren at events like last evening's swanky Philadelphia Democratic City Committee's spring dinner. You can also read about Specter's most recent political maneuvers here and here.
Last week also presented some new polling information that positions Pat incredibly well against Arlen Specter in a general election contest – despite Pat's low name recognition. Two such polls show Pat within single-digit margins of the 30 year incumbent Senator Specter in a general election.
This should come as no surprise because Pat's former Democrat-leaning Congressional District is an excellent indicator of his ability to win Democrat and Republican votes. Without a doubt Pat Toomey is the candidate who can unite Republicans and defeat the Democratic nominee in the general election.
Thank you for your continued and unwavering support of Pat's campaign for U.S. Senate. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. That's how it almost always happens.
Sincerely Mark Harris Toomey for Senate

So Long Harry? – Speculation growing for 2010 Romney Nevada Senate Run

Crist running for Senate
Crist's decision puts Republicans in strong position to hold onto the seat held by retiring Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.) Crist holds high approval ratings among both Republicans and Democrats, according to statewide polling, and has forged a moderate governing style that has won him widespread support.
His decision to run came as little surprise to political observers, with the governor and his allies hinting of his interest in running for Congress over the last several months.
Florida Republican Party chairman Jim Greer confirmed to the Pensacola News-Journal that Crist will be making his formal announcement in Tallahassee on Tuesday at "a low-key event" and said he will draw immediate endorsements by a statewide and national Republican leaders.
Crist starts out as the front runner to succeed Martinez. But he will first be facing a primary against an up-and-coming conservative challenger, former state House Speaker Marco Rubio. Many Florida conservatives have begun to rally around Rubio over dissatisfaction with Crist’s moderate positions, particularly his vigorous advocacy of President Barack Obama’s stimulus package.
On the Democratic side, Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-Fla.) looks like the early favorite to win the nomination based on his strong fundraising and key endorsements from liberal groups. He is currently facing state senator Dan Gelber in the primary.
Take Back America needs true Conservatives in office. Thus we support Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio. However, if the voters of Florida decide to go with Crist, then his information will be added to our Candidates list.

California State Senator Hollingsworth Statement SVP Legislation

Dina Biedermann
California State Senate
Inland Empire, CA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(916) 651-4036
Sacramento – Senate Republican Leader Dennis Hollingsworth (R - Murrieta) issued the following statement on the passage of four of his bills from the Senate Public Safety Committee, all dealing with extremely dangerous sexually violent predators.
“Completion of a treatment program is not currently a condition of release. Why not? A condition of release must be a desire to change the sexually abhorrent behavior in the first place.”SB 564 is aimed at preventing SVP's, the most violent and dangerous classification of sex offender, from registering as a 'transient' under Megan's Law, an increasing practice given the intense scrutiny communities are giving to the placements of these predators.
SB 668 is designed to give prosecutors the tools to send sex offenders back to prison if they give law enforcement false information on their Megan’s Law registration form.
